NEW STANDARDS OF FLEXIBILITY AND VERSATILITY

“Ultra slim, ultra strong, ultra flexible” is the motto with which the Lüdenscheid based aluminium systems provider HUECK System GmbH & Co. KG announced the launch of its innovative new HUECK Trigon FS façade construction with the HUECK Climbing
Tour 2020. The solution’s intelligent design impresses not only with its exceptionally narrow 40 millimetre elevation widths and an amazingly simple system for increasing the working load, but also with its unrivalled flexibility and versatility: HUECK Trigon FS can be implemented both as a mullion/transom and transom/transom design. The new façade can also readily be combined with the entire HUECK product family.

HUECK Trigon FS is available in elevation widths of 40, 50 and 60 millimetres, which can easily be combined with one another. “With the extremely slim elevation widths, we’ve ensured that our façade responds to architects’ demands for especially slender design solutions without compromising the stability,” explains Thomas Leimkühler, head of product management at HUECK. A selection of special cover profiles opens up a multitude of additional design options. “Thanks to this special construction, our façade also offers particularly well-balanced, aesthetic interior views.”

Another highlight of the new façade solution is the innovative HUECK Flex technology, which allows HUECK Trigon FS to be used as both a mullion/transom and a transom/transom
design in all three elevation widths. The modular system therefore paves the way for three different constructions with profile depths tailored to the respective profile geometries and statics. Using assembly profiles from the Trigon modular system, the new façade design can even be processed as a unitised construction. “Our façade therefore offers a degree of versatility that is currently unmatched on the market,” says Leimkühler. “At the same time, we’ve coordinated the system’s design and processing so that it can be produced as a mullion/transom and transom/transom construction using a simple set of tools.” Drawing on
the modular system, HUECK Trigon FS can also be implemented as a burglar-resistant façade up to RC3 with the same slender appearance. Moreover, the RC-tested insert elements from the HUECK Lambda WS/DS series can be integrated readily without visual differences

The pioneering HUECK Connect technology ensures that the new façade enjoys full compatibility with the entire HUECK product family: thanks to a standardised, cross-series 6 mm grid, the new façade solution can easily be combined with the window and door constructions from the HUECK Lambda WS/DS series. To this end, suitable interlocking frame profiles are integrated at filling thicknesses of 4–68 mm instead of the classical glazing. “With this façade, we’ve also rigorously adhered to the tried-and-tested HUECK principle of cross-series component sharing and efficient processing,” says Leimkühler.

HUECK’s engineers have also given the new façade an extremely flexible design in terms of the load capacity. With coordinated profile depths of 50–250 mm, HUECK Trigon FS can be tailored to specific requirements in a modular fashion, and the system accommodates filling thicknesses of 4–68 mm. Thanks to sophisticated statics and smart use of materials in the correct locations, it is possible to achieve load capacities of up to 360 kg with standard glass holders – and as much as 800 kg by other means. “We’re especially proud of our flexible system for increasing the load capacity,” explains Leimkühler. Thanks to an
intelligent combination of T-brackets and glass holder variants, the sophisticated HUECK Boost technology allows increased structural support for filling weights with a single click. “With HUECK Trigon FS, for example, the load capacity can be increased by up to 20% with minimal effort with the help of a glass holder.”

In addition to sophisticated joining techniques, the development of HUECK Trigon FS also focused on the thermal barrier. As a result, this highly thermally insulated façade design meets all modern standards of energy efficiency. The new façade is available in three thermal insulation variants with a standardised sealing system for a range of different requirements. HUECK Trigon FS has been successfully certified by a recognised testing institute and is available immediately. Further information at www.our-facade.com.
